I was lucky enough to meet Roger at the Boatshed in the Classic Boat Museum and spend some time with him over a year or so—a person with so many endearing qualities that made him a joy to work with. Roger was patient and kind, intelligent and witty, wise and empathetic with a sunny disposition and a playful sense of humour. Somehow, I feel he taught us a great deal without us even realising it. And he showed us through his way of being at our monthly meetings and through his help, what love looks like in a place of work. I miss you Roger.
