This site is a tribute to Roger McAlpine, a man much loved and respected by those who knew him. He has left a huge hole in the hearts of so many, and mine in a thousand pieces. Our love was written in the stars so many years ago my darling, we did indeed separate but returned to one another as predicted. I so wish we could have had longer the 2nd time around. Thoughts
I was lucky enough to meet Roger at the Boatshed in the Classic Boat Museum and spend some time with him over a year or so—a person with so many endearing qualities that made him a joy to work with.
Roger was patient and kind, intelligent and witty, wise and empathetic with a sunny disposition and a playful sense of humour.
Somehow, I feel he taught us a great deal without us even realising it. And he showed us through his way of being at our monthly meetings and through his help, what love looks like in a place of work.
I miss you Roger.

Our dear friend Roger. Our dinner dates with you are Carole, shared fun, laughter and mischief @ the table, for ever in our hearts.
Stories Kev would come home and tell after working with you at the Classic boat museum and the fun you both had trying to figure out the solution to some project or other.
Keep playing the music Roger, wearing the faded T.Shirts and that cheeky smile. We love and miss you dearly xx
